Since the day we’re born, our parents have already a dream of what they want us to become someday. They dreamt big and wanted us to pursue courses that will help us become doctors, lawyers, engineers, writers or just to get any high paying jobs out there. But these dreams would not be possible without a concrete foundation of a basic education. To achieve a concrete basic education for our children, it’s best to do homeschooling.
When to start homeschooling:
· Your child is getting bullied in school.
According to some articles I’ve read, bullying is one of the most common problems that are yet to be prevented nowadays. In the U.S. stats alone which is currently on going this 2014, it shows that 28 percent of the students from grades 6 to 12 are being bullied which damages students physically and emotionally. Bullying can lead into problems like: having low self-esteem, difficulty to trust others, lack of assertiveness and even suicide.
· Expensive Tuition Fees, Transportation Fares and Field Trips
If we were to compare expenses from having a child enrolled in a public school and a homeschooled kid, homeschooling would definitely get most of the advantages. If we are to compare the expenses of homeschooling is to public school systems in the US, annually a homeschooler spends $600 while public school students spends $10,000 annually. Taking part of the $10,000 spending are transportation allowance, food allowance and the field trip costs.
· When one parent is staying at home
One problem that homeschooling presents is it will lessen the income of the family. Let’s say that both of you as a couple are bread winners of the family, if you will be deciding to homeschool your child, one has to sacrifice his work and stay at home as the child’s teacher. But if you are a house wife who mostly spends her time at home, why not take this opportunity to save money from homeschooling?
